AeroUD is made up entirely of students from the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Udine, who design, build and test model aircraft to compete in the international Air Cargo Challenge.
Mechanical, electronic and management engineers work side by side: a real proving ground for working life straight after graduation, turning theory into an aircraft that genuinely flies.

Our Story
The ACC arrives in Udine.
In keeping with tradition, the winning team is responsible for organizing the next edition; the Air Cargo Challenge 2028 will therefore take place in Udine, bringing the world's top aeronautical engineering universities to Friuli.
Stuttgart, the victory
The AeroUD team wins the Air Cargo Challenge 2026 in Stuttgart, following three consecutive second-place finishes in 2019, 2022, and 2024. The *SandoCan* aircraft, piloted by Enrico Lo Greco, carries a payload of 3.85 kg while exceeding speeds of 100 km/h.
Aachen
At Aachen, AeroUD secured its third consecutive second-place finish—following three editions where it ranked as the top Italian team—thereby consolidating its technical expertise ahead of the decisive challenge in Stuttgart.
Munich
The team returns to competition in Munich, confirming its international standing. This marks the beginning of a series of top finishes that, in subsequent editions, would lead them to the top step of the podium.
