LEObeta
LEObeta is the third of three. Six students — five in mechanical engineering, one in electronics — first built LELE, a prototype meant only to validate the aerodynamics, then LEOalpha to test race performance, and finally the competition aircraft, with weight reduction as its only goal.
It is the slenderest in the fleet: 3514 mm of span on a 250 mm chord, an Eppler E216 airfoil just 10% thick, chosen over the high-lift airfoil used in 2022 because the new rules rewarded speed.
In Aachen it finished second: the team's third consecutive silver.
